How do I call my aircraft?
Your aircraft has an Iridium satellite number beginning 8816. How you dial it depends on the country you are calling from and, in some cases, on your telephone provider.
From the United States or Canada
011 - 8816 - XXXXXXXX
From outside the United States and Canada
Your country's international dialing prefix - 8816 - XXXXXXXX
Most countries use 00. Some do not, and a few use a different prefix depending on the provider. Common exceptions:

If you are unsure which prefix applies, look up your country's international calling code, or your telephone provider can confirm it.
If your provider does not support direct Iridium dialing
Some providers will not connect calls to satellite numbers. In that case use two-stage dialing:
- Call 1-480-768-2500
- Enter the aircraft's Iridium number when prompted
To check that Iridium dialing works from your line
Dial the Iridium test line exactly as you would dial your aircraft, using the same prefix.
From the United States or Canada:
011 - 881631110006
From elsewhere, replace 011 with your country's prefix, so for most countries:
00 - 881631110006
If the test line connects, Iridium dialing is working from your phone, and the problem is with the aircraft number or the unit itself.
If it does not connect, the problem is with your phone line or your provider rather than the aircraft. Try two-stage dialing above, or contact your provider.
Countries where calls to satellite phones are restricted
Calls to Iridium numbers are restricted or blocked in the following countries:
Bangladesh, Chad, China, Cuba, India, Libya, Myanmar, Nigeria, North Korea, Russia, Sri Lanka and Sudan.
Iridium phones are permitted in Russia, but they must be specially registered.
