# How do I export tracking data from WebSentinel?

Tracking data is exported from the History panel, one aircraft at a time, as either a CSV file or a Google Earth KML file.

### Export the data

1. Select the aircraft, either on the map or in the Aircraft List.
2. Open the History panel. It lists all of the data reported by that aircraft.
3. Set the period you need. The panel shows the last 24 hours by default. To choose a different period, select the calendar icon beside the time range at the top of the panel. This places WebSentinel in History Mode.
4. Select the CSV icon to export as a CSV file, or the Google Earth icon to export as a KML file. Both are beside the time range at the top of the panel.

The export contains exactly what the panel is currently showing, so set the time range before exporting.

### Export events only

If you only need takeoff, landing and other events rather than every position report, select the Settings button within the History panel and tick Events Only. The export will then contain only the events.
