# How do I get debug logs off an ISAT-200A?

Debug logs record the internal activity of the unit and are used to diagnose installation and integration issues. In most cases SKYTRAC will request them while working a ticket, although they may also be collected independently.

## Downloading to a USB drive (recommended)

This is the standard method and requires no network connection.

1. Prepare a blank USB memory stick formatted as **FAT32**.
2. Apply power to the ISAT-200A.
3. Insert the USB stick into the port on the front panel.
4. Using the front panel button, navigate to **System \> Save Log \> Debug \> All**.
5. Press and hold the button to select **All** and begin the download.
6. Remove the USB stick once the download is complete.

Additional options are available under Debug; however, **All** is the option normally required.

If the unit does not detect the drive, verify the connection at **System \> Test \> USB Mem**. **USB CONN** confirms the drive is detected and **NO USB** indicates it is not. Please note that the USB port is intended for maintenance purposes only and should not be used in flight.

Alternative: downloading over Ethernet

The unit also provides a web interface. This requires an Ethernet connection and a laptop on the same network, and is used less frequently.

1. With Ethernet connected, obtain the unit's address from the front panel at **Info \> IP Addr**.
2. Enter that address in a browser to open the unit's home page.
3. Select **Debug Logs**.
4. Download the logs, which are provided in .log format.

On firmware 9.22 and later, the web interface is available only while Ethernet is connected.
