# How do I review a previous flight in TrooTrax?

Past flights are reviewed under the **Analyze** tab. It shows an aircraft's trip history on the map and as a graph, and allows you to step through each event in the trip.

**If the Analyze tab is not visible**, your role does not have access to it. Please contact your administrator to have the permission enabled. See [How do I create a role and control what a user can see in TrooTrax?](https://go.skytrac.ca/knowledge/how-do-i-create-a-role-and-control-what-a-user-can-see-in-trootrax)

### Find the flight

1. Select **Analyze** from the main menu.
2. Select the aircraft from the **Aircraft** drop-down list.
3. Enter the start and end dates in the **Date Range** fields as mm-dd-yyyy, or select them from the calendar. Searching one week at a time is recommended.
4. Select **Add to Review**.

The Trip History Log is shown below the Select Flight Details section, and the trip route is drawn on the map. Each trip listed shows its Departure, Departure Time, Duration and Arrival. The active trip is always the first in the list.

A maximum of four trips can be held in the list at once. Attempting to add a fifth returns an error message.

A trip is normally defined by the aircraft's take-off and landing. This can be customised on request.

### Review the flight in detail

1. Select the trip in the list, then select the **Open Graph** icon in the trip header. A graph of the trip opens below the map, and the Trip Replay appears below the Trip History section.
2. Select an activity in the Trip History Log, or an activity arrow along the route on the map. The map, the log and the trip data update together, whichever one you select from.
3. Where a point has sub activities, use the up and down keys to view the additional event data.

Hovering over a selected point on the graph displays its height above sea level (ASL) and above ground level (AGL).

The trip header also provides **Pan to Flight**, which moves the map to the trip, and **Zoom to Flight**, which magnifies it. The **X** icon removes a trip from the list. To print or save the graph, select the chart menu icon, which offers full screen view, print, and download as a PDF or PNG.

What the trip events mean

Some of the most common activity statuses shown on the map and in the Trip History Log are:

- Transceiver On
- Engine Starts
- Wheels Off, or Flight Starts
- Inflight
- Wheels On, or Flight Stops
- Engine Stops
- Transceiver Off

Viewing the flight in 3D

Select **3D KML**, shown below the Trip Replay, then select **Open file** in the download window. Google Earth opens and displays the flight path of the selected trip. Hovering anywhere along the path shows the detailed flight data for that point.

Google Earth must be installed for this feature to work. If you need help installing it, please contact your administrator.
