How do I factory reset my DLS-140, and what does it clear?
Before you reset: Download a copy of the configuration. Note any custom Wi-Fi name, password or APN. Check whether the aircraft uses a configuration we supplied. Make sure you can log in, because the reset is only done from the web interface.
After the reset:
- Reconnect to the default Wi-Fi (DLS-140-serial number, password skytrac!).
- Log in with skytrac / skytrac.
- Upload the saved or supplied configuration file.
- Check routing, firewall and that both connections are enabled.
- If the DLS-140 works with an ISAT-200A, check the ISAT-200A web page still opens at 192.168.111.120.
What it clears: Wi-Fi name, password and security, APN, routing, firewall, network address and DHCP, reserved addresses, device name, and any configuration file we supplied.
What it doesn't clear: Logs, firmware, service activation, serial number, IMEI and SIM details, and anything on the ISAT-200A.
Should I reset to fix a problem? Not without direction from Skytrac. Because logs survive a reset, we can still see what happened beforehand if it is done, but most problems should not be responded to by resetting without a specific reason.
