How do I get flight data off my IONode?
There are three routes, and they carry different things.
Base station software
This is the main route. It downloads and archives the log data, can forward it to us and to any third parties you nominate, and shows near real time sensor status. It connects over Wi-Fi or by direct connection to the unit.
USB stick
A flash drive fitted to the unit records continuously and mirrors the internal storage. It can be removed whenever the unit is powered off. A standard parameter set typically gives around 100 flight hours of recording.
Wi-Fi upload
Where Wi-Fi is configured, the unit uploads after landing, either automatically or on request.
Where a SkyNode is fitted, event messages also travel over the satellite path. That path is for immediate and critical events only and is not a way to retrieve log files.
