How do I navigate the ISAT-200A front panel menu?

The ISAT-200A has an eight-character display and a single pushbutton on the front panel. Together they give you a simple menu for checking the unit's status, saving logs and performing basic maintenance.

Using the button

Short press (under 1 second)  →  move to the next item
Long press (over 1 second)  →  select the item shown

Most menus include a Go Back item at the end of the list. Selecting it returns you to the previous menu, and for settings it restores the value that was saved before you opened the menu.

The display returns to the idle screen three seconds after an action completes, or after approximately 20 seconds of inactivity, then turns off to conserve power. Press the button to wake it.

The three menus

The top level has three entries: Alert, Info and System. Each list below is in the same order as the menu on the unit.

Alert

Only available while an alert is active, and shown when the status LED is amber.

If a menu item is not there

Several items only appear when the conditions for them are met.

  • Alert appears only while an alert is active and LED is amber.
  • FW Upgr and Load Prm require a USB drive holding a file of the right type, firmware as .img and parameters as .ini.
  • IP Addr requires an Ethernet connection.
  • Save Log > Flight is not enabled by default and requires a flight data contract. Contact us if you need it turned on.

While the unit is in emergency mode the front panel menu is disabled entirely and the display shows Emerg.
