How do I export my aircraft's position data from SkyWeb?

The Detailed Position Log report lists every position a unit sent within a date range you choose, and can be exported to Excel.

Before you begin

This requires the Reports role in SkyWeb. If Reports is not available to you, your SkyWeb Program Manager can grant it.

Running the report

  1. Log in to SkyWeb and go to Reports, then Aircraft.
  2. Select Detailed Position Log.
  3. Set your requirements, including the date range you need.
  4. Select the unit or units to include.
  5. Click Generate Report.
  6. Once the report has run, click Export to save it as an Excel file.

Please keep each report to 31 days or fewer and no more than 25 aircraft. Larger requests can take a very long time to return.

Filters and date ranges

The list can be filtered by vehicle type, which is useful when running a report across a mixed fleet.

Emergency Filtering allows you to include or exclude flights where an emergency was recorded.

Data is available going back one year. If you need a longer period, run it as several reports rather than one.

Further assistance

If a report does not return the data you expected, please contact our support team at support@skytrac.ca with the unit serial number and the date range you requested.
