How do I set up email notifications for aircraft events in WebSentinel?

You can have an email sent automatically whenever an aircraft reports a particular event. Notifications are configured in MyLatitude, one aircraft at a time.

Add a notification

  1. In WebSentinel, select the application dropdown in the top toolbar and choose Admin to open MyLatitude.
  2. Select the Aircraft tab and choose the aircraft.
  3. Select Event Emails.
  4. Select Add Notification.
  5. Select the event you want to be notified about from the dropdown.
  6. Enter the message you want the email to contain.
  7. Enter the recipient addresses in the email list, separating multiple addresses with commas.
  8. Select Save.

To remove a notification, select the trash can icon beside it.

Set up a geofence alert

To receive an email when an aircraft enters a geofence, add a notification using the GEOFENCE EXCEPTION event, event code 197. The geofence itself must already exist with alerts configured on it. Geofences are created under the Map tab in MyLatitude.

Notifications apply to the aircraft they are created against. To receive the same alerts for your whole fleet, repeat these steps for each aircraft.
