How do I suspend or delete a SkyWeb user account?

There are two ways to stop someone using SkyWeb. Suspending an account prevents the user signing in but keeps everything in place. Deleting an account removes it permanently, along with all data associated with it.

Both are carried out by the Program Manager from the same menu. Select the section below that applies to you.

Before you begin

Only the Program Manager is able to suspend or delete accounts.

Suspending an account

Suspending is the right choice in most circumstances. The user cannot sign in, but the account and its history are preserved, so it can be restored if the person returns.

  1. Log in to SkyWeb and navigate to Account Management, then Program Management.
  2. Select the account in the SkyWeb Accounts list.
  3. Click Options at the foot of that section and select Suspend Account.

Suspended accounts remain in the SkyWeb Accounts list and are displayed in italics, so you can see at a glance which accounts are currently suspended.

Restoring a suspended account

The process is the same. Select the suspended account in the SkyWeb Accounts list and click Options. In place of Suspend Account you will see Activate Account. Select it to restore the user's access.

Deleting an account permanently

Deleting an account cannot be undone. All data associated with the account is deleted with it. Please consider suspending the account instead unless you are certain it will not be needed again.

  1. Navigate to Account Management, then Program Management.
  2. Select the account in the SkyWeb Accounts list.
  3. Click Options and select Delete Account.
