My IONode data looks wrong. What should I check?
Data that is present but wrong, rather than missing, usually points to the installed orientation or to the inertial sensor rather than to a fault. There are two things to check.
The recorded orientation
The exact orientation of the unit relative to the aircraft's flight attitude has to be recorded and sent to us, because we generate the configuration that tells the unit how it is mounted. If that has changed, or was never confirmed, the data will be skewed.
How the aircraft was powered up
Power must be applied to the unit at least one minute before engines start, or before any other vibration begins. Vibration during the first minute of sensor operation can degrade its performance for that whole session.
Please contact our support team with the orientation details and how the aircraft was powered up, and we will review the configuration.
